The first meeting of the fourth year of Reality Is Optional kid’s writing club (RIO) at the Alexandra Writers’ Centre Society this year at was just about as uneventful as a flying walrus. And as very boring as that sounds, flying walruses are rare, believe it or not. Our night started with lots of new victims, I mean members. Yeah, Meembersss. On a scale of weird, I would say it was at carnivorous giraffe level. So it started at about carnivorous giraffe level and ended on flying walrus level. Which sounds less crazy, but believe me, it’s ten times more insane. We have also captured, I mean contacted Kris Demeanor, the Poet Laureate of Calgary and MJ Diva local musician, singer, and drama teacher. They will be coming into RIO in November. We have also decided on our dead author for Dead Author’s Night. We shall resurrect Doctor Seuss this October. Our plot to take over the world is in progress, and we not only have Canada under our control, But we have also colonized America as well. Soon the world will be ours and everyone will be forced to listen to our theme song. You should hide your children while you can. So, over all, this meeting was average for our kids’ writing club. If you want to join us, or see what we get up to, check out our website at www.realityisoptional.weebly.com.
