Sensing danger, Ebony grabs the staff, chucking it into the fire. Right before it hits, she dives for cover. Carnage and shrapnel fly through the air, but she survives. Nimbly, she leaves her hiding spot and runs out of the destroyed cabin. Outside the air is smoky and smells like burned dust. Before she manages to cover her mouth, the acrid smoke enters her system. Elves can’t survive too large a dose of pollutants… But she didn’t die. For months she was in a coma, and when she awoke she no longer remembered anything, even her name. It was a chance to start anew…
