Walk Past the Lake to the Cave
“You’re right. There isn’t anything there. Let’s explore that cave!” Ebony says enthusiastically.
The pair walk cautiously to the cave, pretending not to notice the figure watching them intently. They enter the cave, ignoring a fluttering of dark bats inside.
Ebony fells a sharp prick on her neck and looks over to see Shade holding a syringe filled with clear, odourless liquid.
“Good-bye, Ebony,” Shade grins at her. The world went black.
Ebony never woke up.
