Escape through the First Floor Door
You run screaming out the door and bang right into a bespectacled man in a beanie.
"There's an eyeball chasing me!" you yell.
"There's a an art solution for that."
"What?" you ask, totally confused.
"Come into my studio," the man says. "I'm Doug. Doug Driediger of Metrographics " He opens his studio door and you run in, hiding behind a chair, feeling a little cowardly at leaving Alex behind.
You really hope he's okay.
"Now," Doug says, crouching beside you, "Take a deep breath and tell me what exactly is the problem?"
You do as he directs, then explain how the eyeball artwork you were looking at came alive and was now trying to eat you.
"Hmmm..." Doug says. "Art coming alive? That would explain why my magpies left the studio. Anyway, I think we can absolutely find a solution."
"Using art?"
"Always. Now," Doug looks at you with a kind smile. "When dealing with upset people, or art, one must always ask lots of questions, listen carefully, be observant, and most importantly... be creative."
"Okay, but..." You start.
"What does a giant carnivorous eyeball want?" Doug asks.
"A face to be in?" you reply. "Maybe a partner?"
Doug hands you a paintbrush, canvas, and paint. "Better get creating!" he yells, "because here it comes!"
The giant eyeball flies in gnashing its teeth. You quickly paint a goofy face and with one friendly looking eyeball. The flying eyeball smiles and flies into the slot you've left for it, looking quite happy.
"Phew! Thanks Doug! It was great to meet you."
"Great to meet you too. Now, always remember to use art as as solution, ask questions, and listen well."
As you leave the studio you:
Go for coffee
Look for Alex on the second floor
