Apologize

You swing around and notice your mistake. “Alex are you okay, I didn’t mean it  I’m sorry, really,” you say.

“It's okay. Let’s go!” says Alex. “Race you to the third floor!”  They disappear up the stairs at lighting speed. You follow them up but can’t find them... again.

What do you do? 
Do you take a minute to stop and look at the art?
Do you run around looking for him?
